Some areas of the Panhandle Region offer unique opportunities for both whitetails and mule deer across the Caprock escarpment and rugged canyons, headers, mesas, cedar pockets and jagged creek bottoms and river breaks. Although both species aren’t always found in all counties, some that may be of particular interest are Collingsworth, all, Childress, Throckmorton, Jack Young, Shackleford, Runnels, Coleman, Brown and Tom Green.
